Message I understand higher HP and the strain on the TURBO is minimal on a larger turbo but this still makes no sense to why the pressures (that are the same) would vary between turbo setups... 22 psi is STILL 22 psi and that is the only stress that matters on the engine internals... I know the smaller turbos become hotter at higher Psi's b/c they do work harder than larger turbos. My question at this point is, does the variant temperature from the smaller turbo make the engine more likely to explode (break, whatever in any way) vs. the larger turbo's temperature? Cause it seems to me that this would lay no extra stress on the internals itself, it may cause more turbo damage but not so much on the internals. See my dillema?
